1. I think development is improvement of a certain thing or place, like a country.
2. Five ways of measuring development in a country are: Economic indicators (measure money and wealth), Social indicators (measure the well-being of people in a country, Life expectancy), Development indicators (tell you about the conditions of a community or country), GNI (gross national income, an economic indicator) and HDI (human development index).
3. Developed countries

4. LEDC= Less economically developed countries , MEDC= More economically developed countries.
5. It is better to use the HDI to classify if a country is developed or un-developed because it measures: literacy, poverty, education, life expectancy and other factors.
5.1 . Some of the countries are selected in both the images.
5.2 . This could be because the countries are more un-developed than others.
5.3 .They could have a low ranking because: of the past that the country might have had, struggles with the government etc., size or positioning of the country.
5.4 . Subsistence farming is farming just enough to produce enough food etc. for you or your family.
5.5. In order for a subsistence community to develop, they will need more farming supplies to supply more therefore making more money.
6. It is a development that won’t break down very easily and it will maintain its structure.
7. The 8 millennium goals are: 1. End extreme poverty and hunger, 2. Primary education to all children, 3. Have equality between men and women and empower women, 4. Reduce child mortality , 5. Improve health of pregnant mothers, 6. Fight HIV/AIDS and other diseases, 7. Make sure the environment is used in a sustainable way, 8. Encourage partnerships between governments, businesses etc.
